The International Association for the Philosophy of Humanity (IAPH) invites for its 2025 conference in Tokyo, Japan. The conference theme is „East-West Women Philosophers.“
The conference focuses on casting lights on contributions of underrepresented groups in history of epistemic investigations: philosophy and science. We welcome papers from all areas of philosophy that explore the work of women philosophers from both the Eastern and Western hemispheres. We are particularly interested in papers that:
- Examine the contributions of women philosophers to philosophical thought: approaches from any areas of philosophy, history of philosophy, and history of science will be considered.
- Compare and contrast the philosophical traditions of East and West: cultural studies, sociology of philosophy
- Investigate history of women philosophers in a local/regional community: also women in history of scientific thought
- Explore the ways in which women philosophers have addressed issues of gender, identity, and social justice
- Highlight the work of underrepresented women philosophers
